Credits & Billing
Veronese charges for transcription in audio seconds. You maintain a credit wallet; seconds are deducted when transcriptions complete.
Credit pools
Section titled “Credit pools”Your wallet has two pools:
| Pool | Description | Expiry |
|---|---|---|
| Free credits | 3,600 seconds (1 hour) granted at signup | 14 days after grant |
| Paid credits | Purchased via top-up packages | Never expire |
Free credits are consumed first. When your free pool is exhausted (or expired), paid credits are used.
Start gate
Section titled “Start gate”You must have at least 300 seconds available to begin any ingestion. If your balance drops below this threshold, you’ll be prompted to top up before submitting audio.
Deduction rules
Section titled “Deduction rules”Credits are only deducted after a successful transcription. If a transcription fails, you are not charged.
Rounding is applied at deduction time:
- Free pool — rounds up in 60-second increments
- Paid pool — rounds up in 5-second increments
Top-up packages
Section titled “Top-up packages”Purchase additional credits in predefined packages, priced in USD. Credits are added immediately upon successful payment via Stripe.
Auto top-up
Section titled “Auto top-up”You can configure a threshold and a preferred package for automatic top-ups. When your total available balance falls below the threshold, Veronese automatically purchases the selected package. Auto top-up is disabled after 3 consecutive payment failures.
Checking your balance
Section titled “Checking your balance”Your current balance — free, paid, reserved, and available — is shown on the Billing page in your account settings.
